Hi. I would suggest just coming down to crag x and doing some bouldering to meet people. There are always quite a few people bouldering that you can join in with, and everyone is quite friendly. Just start asking around at the gym and I'm sure you can get find some people to climb with.

Hi John, I'm actually in Ucluelet but willing and eager to travel. I'd make it down Victoria way or possibly hook up around Nanaimo. have you climbed at Horne lake? None of those parcels are near the crags. It would not change trail access. the trails and crags are owned by the Horne Lake cabin owners/strata council.

Hey guys. I just got into climbing at Crag X and have been addicted for the past week. I went out and got my own harness and shoes so I would love to try outdoor sometime aswell. I don't work at the moment so I have a lot of time to get out there, anyone want to hit the gym sometime or show me some gold outdoor spots? Cheers James

I went and checked out the Crag X last night. Fun little gym. ON my last boulder route I acquired a flapper the size of a nickel. I'm going to have to grow some more skin before I head out to climb again. Thanks for your enthusiasm and quick response. I'll drop you a note when I'm ready.

Sure. I've got the standard sport gear and wheels. What are you up for? When I was on the island last, I wasn't actively climbing. You're most likely more framiliar with where the goodies are or if you have any current projects, I'm game. I haven't climed in a couple weeks so I'd like to warm up at the gym. Do you climb nights?

New to area, and I'm pretty much free for a few weeks, so if anyone fancies a boulder or a climb outdoors, it would be mucho appreciated. Or even a sesh or two indoors, doing the routes. 17 years experience, the most attentive belayer and spotter you will find. Only brought boots, harness gri and atc with me tho :( Based in Victoria. Look forward from hearing from you!
