I am completely new to the area, completely new to the country and wanted a little guidance on climbing in East Sooke. I was curious if there is any kind of beta or any resource that I could find so it is easier to navigate? I am working/living on a farm and working quite a bit but want a place to go out and boulder and possibly set up some top rope?? I would love some advice!
Thanks

There's a local Victoria guidebook that covers several areas in East Sooke that you can get at Valhalla downtown. East Sooke park has climbing available from all entrances and miles of largely unexplored cliffs along the seashore. The rock is Gabbro, unique in the area but has high friction and excellent climbing if you can find enough exposure.
Not many outcrops more than 30 feet high, but you can do new bouldering routes on the seashore pretty well forever if you want to.
