Greyback Peak

| romperroom 9 posts | I just finished 2 new routes on Greyback peak. The first route I did was a 3 pitch alternate finish to the Wapiti Mainline route. We called it "Shake n' Bake" and the grade is up to 5.9 for 13 pitches. (all bolts) You go right up the new stuff just before the 5.10 pitch on the "Mainline" This is a great route and now will let more people get to the summit at a moderate grade. The second route I completed with Rob Grant and is called "Forever" It was 3 years in the making. It is 11 pitches long and the protection is all bolts. The grade is 5.10+ but most of the pitches average around 5.8 and 5.9 The 8th pitch is 10-, the 9th pitch is 10+ and the 10th pitch is 10- Rap this route with 2 60m ropes off nice and shiny stainless rings. |
| k_outside 1 post | Sounds like you've done some good work. I climbed Wapiti Mainline 3 summers ago, and am hoping to finally make it back this year. Would be cool to try something new - are you posting more beta about the routes anywhere? |
