New route-Mirkwood forest (East Sooke park)

| islandclimber 12 posts | The Delightful Mr. Bongles (5.10a)- Obvious fun route to the right of Noah's ark. Head up the crack and move right into the layback flake (crux). Head up the flake, traverse out right onto the arete and then up a short easy face to the finnish bolts and small gear. F.A. Cory Brooks and Adam Palmblad Side note: The rusty anchors on Happy Foot doctor were replaced with new bolts and rap rings, the missing hanger on Noah's ark was replaced/ The Happy foot doctor was also scrubbed clean, it now looks like white shining squamish granite. Thanks to Lee Salter and eastcoast Gram for scrubbing it. |
