| touchingthevoid 10 posts | was up forbidden last weekend at a different spot where there was ice after the cold snap and it was already dripping wet and rotten. Not as high elevation as Boston so i can't really compare. I'm going to wait until after the next cold snapo and head up. |
| john 158 posts | Boston falls was good on Sunday(dec 27). Temps were just below 0. No need for snowshoes. The ice was dry and well formed on Boston falls. The unamed route has mushrooms and chandiliers and needs more time, unless you like to lead sketchy runout WI5. I posted a few pics |
| jpc 1 post | Was at Boston Falls yesterday (Jan 20), no ice to speak of. Could see chunks of ice at the base of the face that had obviously come off in the warm temps. Hope it cools down. |
