I went into the ice box yesterday. It was in pretty good form. A nice fat pillar has formed, and several other routes were in as well.
Not much snow on the approach, did not need snow shoes
I also had a look at the weepy wall, I didn't climb it but it looked to be in good shape
The road was in good condition, could drive with 4WD to within a couple hundred meters of the Saddle route.

I just thought I'd update this... As of February 11th, 2007 there is no safely climbable ice at the ice box. Due to the warm weather the ice that formed earlier in the year has all melted and fallen off. The thick pillar mentioned above is now the only ice remaining and is delaminated and much smaller then before. The main wall as you enter the ice box is currently just wet rock. I didn't go to the Weepy Wall though as we were on the way to the Main Gully. It seems unlikely that we will get cold enough weather for it to suitably reform.
