Where to climb? - Silver Streak on Mount Arrowsmith

by twinmike on Friday, January 22, 2010

Below is the post that Francis put up last winter. I have not been there so the beta is not my own. Hope this helps. Here is some beta. Siler Streak, Mt. Arrowsmith AI2, 5.5, 200m It mostly goes 4th class with the exit out of the gully being a short mid fifth traverse. Route is located on the east face of the ridge connecting the south and main summits. Approach: From main summit head down ridge towards south summit. Scramble down the second gully to your left to get to the bottom of the face. Hike south to reach the bottom of the Silver Streak gully. An alternate approach may be to rappel from the notch below the Nose…? From the bottom of the Silver Streak Gully climb ice or snow to reach the first short rock step, continue from there past one more step. Near the top of the gully climb the face traversing right to exit the gully. 5.5 section. FB
