A nice route exists by the "Grad 76" cave. Mixed 10c I figure. Approx 35 m., bolted station at the top.

Yes, that's the block that came off, probably just as well its gone, could have hurt someone. Grade is more like 10d now. Just having a look out to the left. Have a bolt in as a directional See how it cleans up, thin for sure.
did you pull off the lose block at the bottom left corner? That was nice for stemming across to, but was always suspect. how hard now. Are you putting a line up the face to the left of birds nest? looks tough.
Thanks Francis. I hope to get to Sutton soon. I'll give you a call before I go.
On Birds Nest on Cathedral Rock, the start of the corner is quite a bit harder now. I pulled off some loose blocks when I was top roping a traverse out to the face on the left. Fortunatley the protection in the corner is still excellent.

The new Climbers' Access Society of BC site was launched today. The old site was getting outdated and was hard to maintain. With the new site members will be able to track their membership and subscribe to feeds so that they can be kept up to date with the latest access news from their area. Check it out at http://www.access-society.ca/. The site is a bit bare at the moment but will be filling up as we get time.
Islandclimbing is featured as site of the week on gripped.com this week. If you're looking for climbing news from a Canadian perspective, you should check out their site or grab their magazine.
The Squamish Mountain Festival is happening next month (July 16th - 20th). Check out their site for details and hopefully we'll see you there.

Hi John, we figured that we saw some of your winter anchors since some were over 15ft in the air on a side wall (i.e. near the top). Cheers, Henrik
